SPARC TO RELEASE DEMETER CERTIFIED BIODYNAMIC BLACK LIGHT AND PURPLE PUNCH CANNABIS STRAINS FROM THEIR GLEN ELLEN FARM, ON NOVEMBER 19

Rohnert Park, CA. – November 14, 2018 – A leader in California cannabis known for its dispensary outlets as well as for its farming practices, SPARC is pleased to announce the release of its first Demeter Certified biodynamically farmed strains. Biodynamic agriculture is an ecological farming system that views the farm as a self-contained and self-sustaining organism. Biodynamic farmers strictly avoid all synthetic chemical pesticides, fertilizers and transgenic contamination.  The environment and the farm are taken into consideration when achieving Biodynamic certification.   Only available at SPARC’s four Bay Area dispensaries, Biodynamic Black Light is an indica flower with 21.1% THC and is a cross between Black Domina and Northern Lights #1.  The flower features a musky and floral taste and is perfect for relaxation and sleep.  Biodynamic Purple Punch is an indica flower with a sweet berry-like flavor and hails from a beloved cross between Larry OG and Grand Daddy Purple which produces a sedating feeling perfect for winding down the day.  Both flowers flavors and effects are enunciated by the unique climate of the Moon Mountain AVA which benefits from a warmer climate just above the fogline and a consistent breeze with winds from both the Pacific Ocean and San Pablo Bay.   SPARC has worked to gain Biodynamic certification for products from its farm since prohibition ended in 2015. This style of farming is increasingly popular for wine grape growers as well as for food producers due to its superior results. Cannabis producers have been quick to see the wisdom of this trend. Both of SPARC’s new strains are certified by Demeter USA, the official marker of this rigorous style of farming.   “Biodynamic cannabis farming, with its emphasis on good health, natural inputs and cycles, and honoring the Earth, is the best way to grow this healing plant,” said SPARC founder and CEO Erich Pearson. “It’s not easy to grow this way, but it is simple, because it most closely mimics what nature would do itself. The result is a clean, flavorful cannabis with extraordinary powers. I’m delighted to be able to offer these two new strains to our patients and adult consumers alike.”   About SPARC SPARC is the long-trusted source for the highest-quality cannabis. Our cannabis products are sustainably grown on our Sonoma County estate in fully organic, biodynamic fields using only natural sunlight.
